I had to get my crafty stash out to make a special birthday card.... I have a friends 40th Birthday Party tomorrow.... and it's a bit of last minute . com here.... So I have been a little busy, it has taken me nearly all day to make this just not had any energy... think I might have to rest so I have plenty of energy for the party :D..... I'm looking forward to catchig up with some old work pals....

I managed to find some time and be a little brave this morning to add some colour to my doll image.... I used acrylics, something I don't feel very confident using when it comes to colouring an image... Fine to slap on for background though... need to tidy a few edges and define areas but that might come with a journal pen....

Need to add a background, and journal.... She's getting there slowly...

Oh what fun I am having with my Art Journal (when I get the chance), I am loving it.... so just sharing a couple of backgrounds... Might add some collage/images and then its time for some journalling...

While watching a little tv last night, I just sat with my journal and a pencil and this little doll of a girl appeared on my page... She is just waiting for a little colour now, hopefully will be able to play later and brighten her up a little...

Art Journal... Messy/Funtime!!!

Well I have managed to have a couple of hours of fun this morning, with the house to myself and no one asking what on earth are you doing???

I have just done an intro page really, so still have the prompt page to do. But I have had fun and I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out.... I might doodle somemore but thought I'd share what I have so far...

I used Acrylic paint's for the background straight onto my watercolour paper (slightly watered down), made a couple of circle mask and sponged through different colours, I then used old bottle top's dipped in the paint for the bubble effect, the edge of a piece of chipboard dipped again in the paint and printed on... I then stamped my title on text paper from and old book cut this out and stuck on, the rest of the title I stamped straight onto the page then coloured in... I then had a brave moment and let some paint drip down the page.... Had a real fear moment of OMG!!! at this point I was saying 'what am I doing?' but I like how it turned out....

I did however have a messy time, managed to dip my arm into the tile I was using as a pallet but cleaned up before I had the brain wave of printing my elbow so as not to waste the paint... lesson for next time this happens :).....

Uks Art Journal Step 2....

With my journal made, step 2 is up and out there already on uks. I now have some research to do 'Preconceptions and Fears' ready for some fun on Wednesday... So time to get my thinking cap on and see where I want to take this.... There is an idea floating at the moment ? but needs somemore thinking time, fears are setting in so maybe I'm thinking in the right direction... lol....

I need to get some other creative project's finished first before I get to really play... 2 Cj's need my attention and and I have a few ATC's to make...

Ok off to give this a little more thought.... ;D

I proberly shouldn't be playing with the lappy today with it being Friday 13th.... But here goes....

This is my Handmade Leather Bound Art Journal, using the idea from the instructions on uk's... my binding is slightly different but the idea is the same, iykwim......

Sorry the photos are not the best but the lighting not good and photography is something that needs working on lol...... Hope you like though I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out........

Happy New Year to everyone, (eventually)

I have been away for so long I had a mental block on my password now that is bad, and talking of bad I have some catching up to do on my Cj's. I have totally lost track of time over Christmas and with all the dec's away now I am able to at least see my stash, still need to go through it to see what basics I need as before Christmas I was starting to get low on some of the basics, like cardstock and nice new pp's.... Guess I need to break into the budget to get back on track....

I do believe I am running on, somethings never change well when I eventually blog LoL....

I am hoping to take part or at least try Art Journaling over on Uks, Looking forward to seeing where this takes me..... This time....

Well Mojo II will be off on it's merry way soon, Monday to be exact... Some of the girl's are working on their covers so I said I'd share what I have so far... I am still working on mine but the basics are there... Need to make a little more prettier if that is a word??? :D... Oh and do my lo's lol.... Last minute.com springs to mind...

I was asked the other week to make a loepard print 30th birthday card, something glitzy and girlie...
I mentioned a flower card for something different... this is what I made....

I really don't do glitzy very well and struggled with loepard print but I think it turned out ok... The main thing was my friend liked it so smiles all round... Just hope her friend like's it...

It's Monday morning... and as usual we are up early... so this has given me the chance to get updated..

I went to crop on Saturday with all intentions of working on my Mojo Cj and making a start on my new Whatever Cj... only to find when I got there that I had actually left Mojo Cj at home... so no playing there then.... I then spent a long time coming up with a theme for my new Cj, I think half the morning had gone by then... But I did make a start and this is what have so far....

I have also made a flap page for my welcome message and have the pages cut... so making progress I think...

I know there is a proper name for this somewhere but for the life of me can't think right now what it is (might have something to do with all the cleaning products I have been using this morning) but this is my crafty area... a semi bomb went off so this is quite good for me... I tend to move thing's I want to do into the kitchen (better light) and then cause I have to clear away quickly, it just get's dumped on the table and may take a while to get back to normal (if there is evere a normal)

I have mini albums, a Cj I'm working on, handmade flowers, ink pad's and stamp's and so many tools that shouldn't be on there but in their right place... So plan of action is to tidy and get ready for a crop this Saturday in one... and maybe have a cuppa tea, feeling a little parched....

Morning all, I'm having a bit of a quiet one today... A few house chores (in progress) and a little home baking (done), Cupcakes again.. slight prob though ran out of icing sugar so only have a few with frosting WHHOOPPPSsseeeee!!!.. So need to pop to the shops at some point...

With hundreds and thousands and a sprinkle of fairy dust... Don't ya just love how I managed to get one right on the tip of the frosting... lol. When using the plain nozzle on the piping bag they kinda remind me of something else IYKWIM.... or is it just me?? lol...

Well seeing has I have a few cupcakes it would be a shame not to have one with my cuppa so off to make a brew and have a T- Break.... then back to the chores...

Not much Crafty planned for this week as I need a few suplies so going to wait till I go to crop this weekend where Karen will have her crafty shop there... so crop and shop can't be bad and I'm so looking forward to my just me time (with NO CHORES)...

I have been making a few more flowers.

I made these using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die... Somehow I have managed to break my 5 petal x-cut punch that I had been using, so thank goodness for the TH die I picked up with my Bigshot... I so love making flowers at the minute and havin the time to make them has been fab... My dad saw these yesterday and asked where I brought them from?? When I told him I'd made them he said they look like shop ones. (this made me smile :D)

(not the best at photography might need to work on this a bit)

I know it's a fab sunny day but might just make somemore.... need to make a birthday card to, so a quiet day with me and the stash playing... how yummy!!!!

Ok the batteries charged and photo's taken, So here we go...

This is the envelope/paperbag mini album... (I made the bag's out of envelopes)... This for my Bailey Bunny in case you haven't noticed the title... (handmade alpha tiles using jump rings)... I still have the pages to fill so a work in progress...

This is my little journal, the cover is a piece of grunge board which I attacked with my distress inks and just stamped on, keeping it simple.... the pages are just made to fit the wrap round style cover, of my old K & Co papers...

I am still working on my Mojo Busters II cj, I have plenty of time to finish it not posting until Nov so I'm havin a play when I get the time or an idea takes hold lol...

So I am getting there and the mojo is coming back slowly... Hope you like...

I was busy doing some of the boring house thing's that we all love so much, when I hear both my little peeps yelling 'there's a van across our drive', 'why is there a van across our drive??' 'There's a man coming here'.... After allowing the man to get to the back door (they were like gard dog's)... quite funny really... I get a parcel with my BIGSHOT in and a little die to get me started.... Hopefully I get some time to play later my little peeps are very active today...

Well there has been a little creative activity happening here but not alot really... these are some of the atc's I have been working on... Inspired by a lady on Youtube Wendy, my creative bliss... she is well fab...

This one is for a group swap on UKS , hope they like they went in the post today proberly shouldn't be showing yet but had the camera out and just happened to up load... sorry if I spoil the surprise....

Just to let you knowI had a lovely time at the crop on Saturday, with my little lady scrapping along side me.... She was scrapping, while I just looked at my papers for what seemed forever untill something clicked into place "I started a lo".... it still needs to be finished but thought I would share the evidence of me actually doing something..... There is still lots of white space which I kinda like but needs a title and some journaling.... so really it's nearly there... just needs a tweek...

Yesterday was my birthday and I was 21 again lol... I was treated to the cinema, got to see the Smurfs, and I must say it was SMURFING!!!! and my little peeps loved it too.... I also got some pennies so I am now able to buy myself a Bigshot YIPPPEEEEEE!!!! quite excited to say the least... I have been wanting one like forever.... so last night I ordered one and it's just the waiting now for the delivery.... can't wait!!!!! I feel like a kid in a candy store lol....

I really am sorry for letting my little blog down so badly, I have so lost my MOJO and been struggling to find time to play anyway.... Life has been getting in the way of me playing and having my me time... I had been looking into changing my career but due to financial complications I am having to re think again to what I'm going to do with my life to fit in with my little peeps... So having lot's going on in my head I've not able to concentrate on much else...

However I am hoping for a change this weekend I am going to a crop and intend to PLAY I don't have a clue as to what I will do yet but I'm sure something will happen, wish me luck... :-D

I have been making a few ATC's to try and get in the swing of things so this could be something I get up to at the crop, there I have an idea... I also have a paper bag/envelope mini in the starting position (it's very rude no papers attached)...

I might have had something creative to show or even tell you about but sadly nothing has happened, YET!!! (there still might be a chance that I find some time)...

Life has just been so busy with me going through the process of changing my career, which has involved me doing some voluntary work two days a week and now a adult education course, the going back to school has come quite hard at the mo, it's been a while since I have done anything like write an essay....

So I am feeling a little lost in the creative sense with everything that is going on and all the day to day stuff that I have to keep on top off, but hopefully it won't be for long...

The Pencil's Have Been Out Again....

I have been a little busy again this week with my little ones going back to school (only for 3 day mind you) and me starting to help more at the infant school, with a collage course looming I have been absolutely everywhere.
I did find time to sit with my pencil's again the other day but with being so busy I just haven't had five minutes to pop by, I give warning that this is not the best photo, I couldn't tell you what happened to her really, well I can it's on the wonk and I have cut half her hair off (bad bad photo sorry).... I will try and take a better one when I've finished last night's little play....
Oh it's very therapeutic all this drawing and colouring, mind you I have always liked colouring....

I might have to find just a journal for my faces as I am getting a little carried away ;-D...

I have really found it hard not to play today, I am what you say hooked on these figures, this little lady started out this morning, but with plans to take my little ones swimming she had to wait for her colours....

So on returning home and after planning what we were having for tea sorted, I armed myself with a cuppa and my pencils and off into the sunshine I went.... And after a few moments my Fairy got her wings of colour...

I don't really know where my creative flo has just come from, but I am loving my pencil and my coloured pencil's..... Just a little bit....

I've been at my dad's today with my little people, no thought of any creativeness but when we got home, my little angel's decided to let's say play up, so armed with a cuppa tea my art journal and my pencil's I went and sat in the sun and tried to chill for a while, to the point that I lost track of time, this is what happened...

Then I found I couldn't stop so this happened tooooo!!! I think this lady needs finishing a little more but thought I'd let her show her face.....

I'm not sure where to take them now but really pleased with how they have turned out, only thing is I just want to keep drawing and colouring... I think I have found something/ a medium here that I like...

Maybe you could let me know what you think and any ideas of where I could take them from here...

Look I PLAYED!!!

I know it's not much but its a little bit of crafting, well I put the book together then splodged some water colour over it, I still need to splodge some paint on the cover but hey it's a start....

This is thanks to a YouTube video by Teesha Moore on how to make a 16 pg journal, she has some other great video's up which take you through her journal techniques... well worth a watch especially if in the learning side of art journalling like me!!! I'm still scared of doing it though but will try and put my butt into gear and get a wriggle on lol ;-).....

I just wanted to stop by and say SORRY for not being about.... I feel I have completely lost my way here at the mo, my scrappy time has really been on hold, well it just don't seem to be there for me.... and I have been quite busy thinking of what I want to do with my life..... So I have been looking at college courses etc and doing some voluntary work, which I guess has had an effect on my scrapping or lack of it :0(.... Hopefully things will get back to normal soon and I get my mojo back..... X everything I think I'll need all the help I can get ;0)....

SURPRISE!!!!

It has been one very busy weekend for us decorating Lauren's room as a surprise for her Birthday while she has been away at Brownie camp.... But we did it....

She had the most fab time, but was looking very tired when we picked her up yesterday, so when we got home some how she found some energy to undo cards and pressies still unaware of her bedroom.... I had to ask if she'd give me a hand to take some thing's up because with loads of new thing's it didn't look like she was going to go to her room PANIC!! and I was excited to see her reaction (the big kid in me I guess).. The photo I got is not the best battery got low but the smile is there, she was so pleased she ran out and hugged us.... that brought a tear to my eye...

A curtain dangler.....

I really missed my little lady on her birthday but I am so glad she had a lovely time. The Brownies made it a really special for her, singing at meal time's and they had firworks and lit chinese lanterns Saturday evening. Oh and the cupcakes I sent in went down well too!!!

So today is back to normal and load of chores to catch up on.... would be better if the housework fairy would drop by but I fear it's just me.... so I had better get to it I guess...

This Friday my little lady is going on a pack holiday with her Brownie Pack, but there is something else a little special about this weekend too, it's also Lauren's 8th birthday on the Saturday while she is away... So I have made a couple of thing's for her, a little journal for her to keep a record of all the fun things she'll get up to...

And a little cupcake hanger which is going to double up as a birthday wish, I do have to add the Happy Birthday tag to it but that's still in the making.... I am going to ask L's brown owl to give this to her on Saturday morning...

I also have plans of making a ribbon notice board for L's room, cause while she is away we are decorating her bed room as a surprise, well Lauren has picked the paint but she has no idea about about the new bed linen, curtains etc and that we hope to have it all done while she is away...

I think it is going to be so weird not having L her for her Birthday, and to add to the weirdness this will be her first time away from home on her own, my baby girl is growing up....

I hope she is going to enjoy this time away, just want her to have loads of fun and not miss us to much, my girlie is quite a clingy girl, or maybe it's me and I'm the clingy one.

A cat and dog's tale....

Just thought I would get the photo's of the sewing we did yesterday, not the best photo's but must not complain of the sun...

Lauren had a felt sewing kit for Christmas... So this is the cat she made with a little help, thought she did very well and learning how to do blanket stitch...
I don't think he/she has a name yet but I'm sure there will be one soon...

Using the felt dog as a template I cut up some scrap fabric and Mason and I came up with this little pooch, he's a little tatty round the edges, felt would've be so much better but I think the tatty gives him character, and I'm sure he'll be loved...

To the Dr's....

My throat has driven me mad, I just couldn't sleep last night it was so sore to swallow, usually I push through but this has really got the better of me.
The nurse said I have a severe case of tonsillitis, she has told me to REST, so no house work (yeah right it's half term too!) and has given me a script for antibiotics.... I can't wait for them to kick in...

I have come to a bit of a stop, I must say not as bad as the man flu lurgy but pretty darn close all I want to do is lay down and sleep, I have the wickedest of sore throats which hurts to swallow, tonsil's and thing's that dangle at the back of my mouth are touching which is then making me feel quite sick, and boy do I ache. But HEY I'm a mum with a half term happening so plod on I must.... We did do a little stitching this morning just for some quiet time will post the pic's later (light not so good here today a bit wet) and no laughing ok!!!

Well I woke up this morning feeling like I needed to stay in bed and maybe go back to sleep, I have been feeling a little tired lately, but no I get up and start the refereeing (school breaks have a lot to answer for lol) and think I am having a day of catch up on my Art Journal, I'm having a day off lol, (like that's really going to happen but I know I am going to try crafting at some point today 8)...)

Thanks to Ali's crop on Saturday and Ali for demonstrating a background technique (although cut sort because my little man didn't feel to well) I have found some mojo... and have done 3 background pages in my journal this weekend... Yipppeeee!!! I'm getting there but I have a few weeks to catch up on before I get back on track for my 52 Question I didn't realise I was so behind till this morning. Right I had better go get my prompts ready, get my brain in gear and get on...

Homework ~ Done

This is Lauren's Homework (set on Friday)..... The main task......

Last week was the start of the Chinese year of the rabbit. Next week we will be devoting our lessons to learning about the Chinese culture as part of our multicultural week. Dragons feature heavily in Chinese festivals and stories. Your task is to design a dragon mask that could be used in a parade...

Remember to make it bright and colourful, using whatever resources you can find...

So after having a bit of a google, Lauren picked a style. We had a play this weekend and finished the mask last night... thought I'd share what she came up with...

As for any of my crafting, well it's going a little slow at the mo I have been hit by a bit of a throat infection which is making me feel so tired all the time and I've problems with my wrists again but hopefully a referral to a physio can sort something out.....

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine it's still very cold (but that might just be me not well) don't it make you smile? I had several people just say hello on the school run this morning, everyone seemed to have a sunny smile :-) and the smile passes on...

The Puppet's are here at last...

Well it's Wednesday and what can I say, I've been a little lazy this morning (well pretty much all week, just can't seem to be bothered with the house stuff), I've been to a coffee morning at the infant school, who are trying to raise money for cot's in the neo-natal unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital any excuse for a cuppa, slice of cake (but don't tell the diet) and a bit of a natter.... But I am home now so maybe some of the little job's will get done before I head back on the school run....

Ok I can now show you the The Stick Puppets I made with my little peeps a couple of weeks ago, hubby had to by a gadget thingy so I could use my camera card on the new lappy, don't ask what it is cause I am so bad with computers I couldn't say but it holds different cards and connects into a usb port (that sounded like I know what I'm talking about lol), so I am havin a play, and as you can see I have managed to load a couple of photo's up.... (I am clever really lol )

Lauren's puppet is on the left mine is to the right and Soldier Man well he belongs to Mason, us girlie's still have to GLAM our ladies up, I know they look pretty much the same but I didn't have to many supplies to play with so had to go with what I had...

This is a LO I started on Saturday when I went to crop, I need to tweak and add a few thing's and of course some journalling needs to go on but 'it's in the making' lol....

We had to get a new laptop (not so yippeeee on the purse though).... I am having my first real play as hubby has been hogging it just a little, you know how they are with a new toy...
I am not sure how to do some things it is really different to the last one (just hope I don't press something I shouldn't lol :-) ) and I've had to try and remember all my passwords and boy has that been a challenge in it's self... I haven't even thought how I am going to add piccies yet I don't know where to stick the camera card or if I can use my card on the lappy (then what will I do???)...

I have photos but it may take a while for me to get them on my little Blog it's all very technical for me at the mo but we made our puppets, my little man has been so pleased with his he had to take it to school for show and tell, it went to Beavers last night, and he'll be getting his Creative badge for making his puppet so he is well chuffed, talking of badges he came home last night with his First Aiders badge and full of smiles 'I'm catching Lauren up now mummy' (Lauren goes to Brownies)...

I have to say I have fallen a little behind with my art journal, I just seem to have been so busy over the last couple of weeks but I am penciling in a day next week for a catch up, but if I get the chance I will try and play on Saturday...

I'm not the best at keeping up with my little ol' blog but I have a slight problem at the moment with my lappy he's kinda gone BANG!!!! and me being so good with computers NOT!! I am not going to be about for a while unless my brother leaves his puter out when I'm round his and he's not looking then I might be able to pop by...

I have a few crafty plans for the little people this weekend 'PUPPETS' as I was so impressed with the ones we made on Monday at school thought I would show Lauren how to make and then they can make up stories/plays at home.... just need to get a few supplies together and let the fun begin... We will be doing ours slightly different but hopefully we'll get the same affect... will let you know at some point :0)...

I had the most fun today helping at my son's infant school. They had asked me to be a parent helper as they were having a puppet workshop from The Norwich Puppet Theatre, as I am a sucker for anything arty how could I resist....
It was a fab workshop, we made Stick puppets and the children got to each make their own and decorate with loads of trinkets and pieces that had been supplied by the puppet theatre peeps, every puppet was so different and watching their little creative minds work was just amazing.... Sorry I haven't any pictures to show with it being something from school, but this is something I will be having a go at home with my little peeps (maybe this weekend if I am lucky to play) I might have to make some tweaks but I am sure I can come up with something that might resemble a puppet (well I hope so)....

Fairy Update

I would like to say thanks for your comment's on my last post, I had thought I needed to tweak but just hearing your ideas gave me the confidence to try and put right Thank You!!...

I think adding the shoulder was defiantly needed to put the wing in the background so to speak, I'm not sure I am truly happy with how she has turned out but that's just me, I am always questioning my stuff, and I haven't played like this with paints for quite some time (quite scary to even think about it really) I am pleased that I have tried and at the end of the day that is what I am doing, trying!!! (some might say I am very trying lol)...

I am also really pleased that I am keeping up with this challenge and enjoying this experience... I really struggle to put down any journalling so this is really making me think, I will probably be adding to Question 3 there is still space in that corner that is calling me to scribble on...

You know I said I played with the wings in my art journal well this is what I have so far (without any tweaking) I'm not sure if I have put them in the wrong place for how I have place the head of my fairy... I am proberly worrying over nothing cause anything goes right, but I keep looking at it and asking myself 'Do it look wrong????' I now feel I don't want to tweak incase make a mess of it completely... Is this a normal feeling when you start art journalling??

I would love to hear what you think and any advice you could give me would be fab... I kinda don't want to blow it with it being at the begining of my journey in to Art Journalling I don't want to be put off trying...

Hope you can help me out of this little muddle I have....

Wish me luck I am having a day at Mason's infant school as a parent helper today, I have been asked to help paint a dragon that they have been working on... I am looking forward to helping really as this could be where I am heading in the job area so will be good for experience (and I'm liking paint at the mo too lol). I keep thinking of what I can do to fit in with my ickle peeps if I was to go back to work....

Art Journal update... I had a go at some wings for my fairy last night but got a little carried away I think, and tweaking is needed before I am brave enough to show but as I am busy today maybe I'll get it fixed later tonight, I seem to be doing lot's of late night crafting lately....

Thinking about my next prompt for my Art Journal 'Do you believe in Fairies?' I had a little play last night with a little water colour set I got for Christmas, and for a first attempt I'm not sure, think I like what I have so far, I've placed some die cuts from Graphic 45 (not suck down as yet) to add to the whole Fairies theme, I have the wing's to do on my fairy but I feel some more thinking is required there on how to get the look of what I'm thinking of doing if you know what I mean???....

Just thought I would share where I am at the moment... This is still all very new to me, think I am having fun though, hope you like??

I was hoping to have a play and catch up with my Art Journal on Saturday but my little lady had other ideas so I only managed to do a little, well finish/journal week ones Question for my 52Q on UKScrappers I had done the background just had to add my hopes....

Yesterday I did however find a moment or two to put a Calender page together needs some tweaking but I am getting there... Quite liked the idea of my journal to have a diary in it too to help keep track of the year, and this way looks quite effective (thanks Alison for sharing)...

Today I have played but shhhsssshh!!! Well Hubby has gone back to work today after having time off for a back surgery (he's been at home since the end of Oct)... I just wanted to chill and with the house so QUIET I have been able to think and do something for me. So this is question two 'Am I Scared of CHANGE?'...

At first thought I am scared of change it's the knowing and being safe but is it just a new CHALLENGE that we take because without change we wouldn't grow and we grow everyday, A NEW STEP!!! and it's PART OF LIFE... I think that I have brain overload, maybe the house is to quiet that is why I am thinking to much and now I am running on just a tad, my head hurts now lol...

Hope I am heading in the right direction, let me know what you think.....

I was asked the other day (Tuesday) if I could make a mini album for a friend's 30th birthday party, but can I have it for Friday (today)... after a slight panic because I haven't really scrapped properly for some time I said yes... So in between Hospital trip's to Cambridge and school meeting's I think I have made a mini album...

I saw this mini on Ustream/You-Tube??, Marion Smith a while back. I have used this style a couple of times before and just love how they turn out... and they just fit in the palm of your hand... Great for a little keepsake...

Made a Start!!!

I have never felt so nervous about starting an art journal, I wasn't sure where to start and seemed to have asked everyone silly question's, but yesterday I took the plunge and got a little messy.. well I played with Distress Ink's mainly it's a bit safe to my style of scrapbooking at the mo but hopefully I will challenge myself as I find my feet.....

I am hoping to follow nettyb in her 52Q Challenge she has set on UKSCRAPPERS, with being something new to me thought it might help me along the way of my Art Journaling Journey...

So here are some pic's (sorry about quality light not to good this morning)

Front Cover... I still have to add my Title and maybe some embellies...

First Page... Again need to add some kind of a title and some journalling thought a little personal message about my journey into something new...

First Entry... Well again not really finished but it's getting there, I used oil pastels to start but was a little to bright so out came the paint and I smudged it on with my fingers for a random look, still not right and by this time scaring me and the people sitting with me out came the torn book pages, Distress Ink's and the doodling pen, oh and I found some cork and tore up... I have started to title this 'Hopes for 2011' which is the first prompt for the challenge and have my journalling to add but I am still thinking about what my hopes are...

Well I hope I am heading in the right direction with my journal, might do a month page too and use as a diary if given the chance to play before the month is over lol..

I have been sitting here tonight thinking about everything that has happened this year (a day early I know but hey), there have been some really good times but towards the end of the year it's not been so good.... I haven't been in the scrappy mode for a while so hoping 2011 will bring my creative flow back and I can my ickle mojo back in gear....
I haven't done any scrapbooking since september with everthing that has been happening well I think it's about then... I am hoping I can still do it!!!!

I was watching something on telly tonight and you know when you see something you think you can do I got that feeling and then it triggered of a little creativeness and some ideas started to spring into mind... some of it has nothing to do with scrapbooking but the skill's will help lol lol.... I will report if anything comes of these ickle ideas I have had tonight...

Hopefully is something I seem to be saying a lot but that is what I am for next year and to try and be a better blogger for 2011...

I am not my self at the moment, My father in law passed away last week he had been really poorly, 20 years ago he had a heart transplant so we have been lucky in the extra years we have had to share with him and memories we now have to hold on to...... My little peeps are now at an age where they understand more but it is still so sad seeing them so upset... but the lovely little things they say and do to try and keep us from being to sad is so sweet... I love my babies so much xxx.....

So as you can imagine I have not been thinking of crafting but I did take part in a ATC swap and got all my lovely swap's back this week.... I am not able to upload photo's at the mo due to some maintenance but as soon as I can I will....

Happening!!!!!

I have been so bad at switching the puter on lately, so I haven't been by for a while... I have been trying to get myself into gear and find time to scrap a little, but I don't know where time goes... Since my ickle peeps have been back at school I don't think I have managed to scrap or make a mini album at home, I have Zentangled a bit which is good because I am in an ATC swap and I need to get thing's moving cause the dead line for sending off is closing in on me arrgghhh!!!! no it's ok just have 3 more to make... so nearly there... but anything else well you can just forget it... I proberly shouldn't be sitting down now but I needed a cuppa and just happened to sit by the puter so here I am....

I have had a little wonder around and found some blog candy over at Scrapology and if I have remembered how to link just click and hopefully it will be there ( I am so C**p with puters).... They also have a monthly challenge which is worth a look to...

I just want to get back into the swing of thing's but really finding it hard to do at the mo, One day though I might get organised and pull my finger out along with some stash lol (cause a little stash might help) and I'll get playing again...

Over the last week I have been so busy looking after my father-in-law who is really quite poorly and gettin my little peeps settled back into the school thing, I really needed a little me time this weekend (hope this don't sound to selfish), so I went to a local crop (thank you Karen at CraftBuddies) and had a wee play.....
I have not done a LO for some time being the mini book addict that I am, and boy did I find myself in a muddle... I questioned myself, if I could still do this scrapbooking thing that I love so much lol :0)... I did have to borrow a couple of magazine's to get some inspiration but it was seeing just a piece of folded paper that resulted in my LO so maybe there is hope for me yet!!!!

I have this thing about flowers they are so pretty but in this scrapbooking world they always cost the earth so I am trying to cut cost and make my own as you may have seen before in another post... I made this one Saturday just using a flower punch (which I borrowed from the lovely Angie your a star) think it turned out pretty good, well must have made an impression as Angie tried my technique too....

Ok as this is the last weekend of the school hol's, I have been mad enough to say to my lil peep's that we will camp out in the back garden... With my Father-in-law being quite ill and needing me to care for him my lil peep's haven't been able to do much on their summer break... We have managed a few thing's but I have felt because I have been pulled in all direction's that I have let them down a little I know you can't be in two places at once but I still want them to have had an ok time... So a camp out has been planned... Hubby is putting the tent up well fishing bivvey (we don't actually have a tent) I just hope it don't smell to fishy lol..... Ok think I need to sort some thermal's out it is feeling a little chilly.. WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Zentangle over load!!!!

I have been a little side tracked over the last couple of day's but here is the sneeky lookie at some ATC's I have ready for a swap.... I am really finding these relaxing to do and I at the mo that's a good thing.... so as you can see there are plenty... and more still happening...

These ones are also up for a swap on UKS....

I was asked to explain the process of how I come up with my doodles and if I had any templates, well I don't actually have a template it's just a basic technique I use as I am still learning, so I have put a little how to together of how I get started.....

This is How I Zentangle.... (hope this makes sense)...

a) I start by placing a dot in each corner of my chosen paper/card...

b) I then just join the dot's how I want to... (you can just free hand draw a base pattern without the dot's but I am still learning my self so what ever you want to do to make a base pattern will work)

c) Then it's doodle time, use any pattern you like to fill in the spaces that you have made by joining the dot's...

d) Hey Ho you have ZENTANGLED!!!!

Well I hope this help's and sorry if I have confused you more, please google this as there is loads of information out there and some fab pieces of work to help get inspiration but at the end of the day it's your own doodle!!!!

I have been so busy since dad in-law came out of hospital on Saturday, he has on-going medical need's so have had plenty to sort out for him now he's home ... and I think he is going to need extra help too but that is something to think about!!! But to unwind when I get home I have been Zentangling and it is very addictive!!! it has surprised me how relaxing it is just to sit and doodle and what with everything that is going on at the mo it is just the ticket....

I have made 6/10 ATC's in readiness for a swap over on UKS (hopefully it will get the go ahead soon) ... Sorry no pic's but want to keep them a surprise... maybe I'll post a sneeky peek tomoz when I have a little more time...

I think maybe I have become slightly addicted to Zentangles.... I started this one at my local crop but due to a phone call I didn't get to play very long (had to pick dad in-law up from hospital)... so with dad all settled back at home, I finished playing and added some colour to this one, think it tured out ok would love your opinion.....

This Cj should have come home in Oct/Nov '09 so it has been a while, do I just take the plunge and have another go??

It's that time of year where I make journal's for my little peeps to record their summer break activities.....
I know we are into the first week so maybe a little behind but eventually I found some time this morning to be a little creative... as you can probably tell the pink frilly one is for my little lady and my man's is a little more simple, I asked him if he wanted me to do more to it but he said "it's just what I want" so sweet bless him......

The inside pages are plain at the mo, I haven't embellished them this is something we will do along the way....

I have been meaning to post about my new little addition but I just don't know what has happened with me and blogging lately, so with all good intention's here I am blogging about my new little fella....

This is Bailey he is MY pet bunny!!! On the shop's display it said Netherland Dwarf Lop but I really think they have this quite wrong... Dwarf Lop maybe but no Netherland.... even the vet's looked puzzled at the Netherland side of breed :0)....

Made a Boo Boo

I have made a right BOO BOO SORRY!!!!!..... last night I said I would take some pic's of the teacher thank yous I had made but in the rush of the morning and where is my uniform and I can't find my shoe, I forgot to get the camera out and they have been handed out now so BIG BOO BOO!!!!! SORRY.
I can say the teachers were really pleased with them which nearly brought a tear to my eye's especially Lauren's teacher's as this is her last day at infant school (NOTE TO SELF~might have to take tissues when I pick her up).....
Well I have a bomb site to clear up today after all my crafting so after my brew that is my plan of action to tidy up ish lol !!!!!

I have had such a busy time of thing's lately with the end of year stuff happening at my little peeps infant school, why is it time go by so quick when you have so much to do, there just don't seem to be enough hrs in the day..... Or I have to organise myself a little better, maybe that's the answer organise myself, probably easier said than done though....

I have a baby mini album to make and one album ready for collection (so have managed to scrap a little). Nothing like last minute but I also have five teacher gift's to come up with, and one week left of school to complete and it's another week with plenty of things happening so not sure how it's all going to turn out????...... Wish me luck..... Oh any ideas for teacher gift's greatly received (1 male teacher and 4 female).....

I do have a little question .... I have a few to many empty mini album's and I'm not really sure what to do with them (to much of a mini addiction got carried away a bit me think's) What would you do with them????

Thought I would share some of my little going's on, well more sneeky peek's as these little coaster mini album's are made for the lovely Steph at Indigo Mill to sell at a craft fayre this Sunday.... I have also made some other mini's that will be heading off with Steph, but I will have to get back to you on where and the times as this has slipped my mind what with all the fun I have been having....

The Flowers on the cover's are some of my hand made one's and I'm really liking how they are turning out... So you could say I am loving my flower's well slightly more than I already did :o) ..

I have been trying to come up with ideas on how to save money for my scrapping item's and my love of flowers have got me thinking.

Primas are a real fav, so as I only have one flower punch I have been a little limited with my trials but think I may have cracked it....

The brown one at the top is made from the Prima e-line from Indigo Mill.

All I need now are some flower punches to try some others...

I have had one of those crafty moment's.... The other night I was surfing away for inspiration as ya do when your mojo flow is not so flowing and Steffogal 1 had made this lovely mini which she had seen on Marion Smiths ustream it is just sweet so had to try one for myself as I have never bound a mini like this before....
I have the basic mini made, now to make really pretty... so over the next few day's (chores permiting) stamping and flower's will be played with....

I just needed this boost so thanx girls for your fab inspiration...

Carousel in the making

I had a great time at Alison's crop yesterday felt really chilled and time just flew by, which is why my little painting project has only got this far...

I ask my dad who just love's playing with wood to make me a carousel.... This is what he came up with... I have coated it with paint and have started to put torn pages on but there is still plenty to do before it is finished... But hey I'm kinda scrapping again WHHOOOOPPPPEEEEEEE!!

When it is finished my ATC card's will have a new home....

The sun is shining and my ME time is approaching, can you tell I am ready for my local crop (thank's Ali)...

I am so not ready, still working out what I want to take with me, I have a little project that need's painting and making pretty and there is a paperbag mini I am thinking of starting... so traveling lite (which I never end up doing) will mean everything I can fit in the car will proberly be with me just incase, which seems to be my moto of going to crop, I never know what I am going to do!!, mind you Steph is bringing Indigo Mill web shop along so maybe I can leave a few thing's at home as there are some really fab new yummy things in the shop (can't wait to have a lookie)...

Well I better get sorting cause I so need my ME time this weekend. Hope you all have a fab weekend and take care...

Race for Life 2010

The weather was pretty yucky so we took some pic's at home before we left so not the best photo's especially the one of me, I am so used to being behind the camera and find havin my photo taken quite stressful.... but my little lady was just so pleased and excited to be taking part made it worth while even if it is a bad photo..... Love you little lady and I am so proud of you...

We completed the 5km walk in 1hr and 4 min's not bad for L's first Race for Life....

Morning all, Time to Report in!!!

What a difference the sun makes, it's a fab sunny day here prob won't last long but while it's here keep smiling.... may be there will be more he he he.....

I have managed to get my camera going it was something so simple New Batteries... he he.. must have been on another planet to not have worked that one out...

So what have I been up to...... not a lot still but I managed a LO at Karen's crop on the 13th of this month, it has been a while since I have done any lo's and felt really lost and unsure of what I was doing. Have you ever felt like this?? I'm still not sure but my little lady love's it so if she's happy that will do for me... I must try some more lo's so I don't get the silly feeling's again...

Ok this is a mini album which will be heading off over the pond for a swap. It's a Family Memories album..... So only a sneeky peek....

I love making mini's incase you haven't notice but alway's worried if they will be liked by others.... Hopefully this one will be ok!!!!. Feeling a little nervous though....

I have some lovely house stuff (not) that need's doing so better get my butt in gear and get them done so I can plan my next project(s)...

As you all know I am not the best when it come's to computer's and today is no better...

I have tried to enter a Stamping and Inking competition over at the Fiskarettes, but have had no luck in up loading my images to the site (it's size thing), so I thought I'd post them here cause I can lol.....

I have used Tim Holtz Distress ink's and and a fab butterfly stamp from Pink Paislee. I really love the vintage feel of how this Journal Tag turned out....

So feeling better my little peep's wanted to make cakes, Well they said they wanted to make cakes but left me to it. So these little beauties are my cupcakes. I'm slimming so none for me but I'm sure they won't be around for long for me to be tempted... But they do look YUMMY!!!!

I'm having one of those day's where I am feeling a little LOW and I think it will be one of those week's too!!!

Yesterday on picking my little peeps up from school I noticed Mason's shoes looked really scuffed (bearing in mind his shoes are only 3 weeks old), I asked him what he had been up to and if he had done P. E. but he said no, so I check the size in the shoes, and they are not his as they are a size to big for him. I informed his class teacher there and then and well his response was theres not much we can do and we have a school trip tomorrow morning I can look at the childrens shoes tomorrow afternoon. I also phoned the school when I got home they said they would put a notice up in the class window's to inform the parents.....
Guess we'll just have to wait and see..... Some child is wearing shoes that are to small for them must know, mustn't they... My worry is that they are going to get new shoes with out realising they have the wrong ones in the first place and Mason's shoes lost.
Do that make sense???

Oh and scrapping is just not happening at the mo, it not for the wanting too as I have got some thing's planned to do, time is just getting the better of me and I'm feeling so tired lately, hope I'm not coming down with something!!!!

Well I hope everyone else is havin a better start to the week than I am. Off to do the house stuff before I have to go back to school for a parent activity afternoon...

Ok this was a mini I intended to make at the wk-end at Alison's crop but got a little side tracked with steph and the Indigo Mill shop being there (in a good way had a giggle), anyway I managed to find some time yesterday and have finished it.
This mini is to be a birthday present for my friend, she's not a scrapbooker so not sure how well it will go down, I'll have to report back later...

Now I have a little project to work on, I'm keeping Shhhsshh at the mo but it's all go here....

Ok as you may have noticed there has been some snow about, and what do you do you play in it so on friday with my little peeps off school again we came up with frostie and the ice cat, not the best pic I know but had to share.... We had a right ball (SNOWBALL) he he...

So what else has been happening well I have managed to get a cj sent off and have been working on a Christmas Swap, I know christmas has gone but thing's got a little behind with all the happening's and my stash had to be stored away for christmas to happen here, so here are a few peek's!!!

Well that's pretty much it for my crafting , still have a few ideas milling around so watch this space.

I am starting a little job today well a see if I like it really, I don't know the posh title for the postition but 'Lunch Time Assisstant' or 'Dinnerlady', it's at the local Jounior School which is just round the corner from me so will be pretty handy, and will give me some pocket penny's for some fab new stash YIPPPEEEE!!!!!

Hi everyone, Happy New Years to you all, hope you all had a great time over the Holiday's.

Well I have Christmas all packed away and have now found my stash which had to go into hiding to make way for everything Christmas, and while doing so I have found a few thing's that need to be finished and lot's of thing's I forgot I had, I guess I need to have a really good sort out before I start to plan anything else. Now my babe's are back in school I can try and make a start...

Has anyone made any New Year Resolution's?

Ok the holidays have started so it must mean Christmas is on it's way, and I have still plenty to do nothing like last minute . com, hey!!!
Most of the shopping is done there are still a few peep's to sort out, and I'm still waiting on a gift to be delivered for my little lady, fingers x it will be here Monday... and that she don't see it before santa delivers... :)

Now I just need to plan for what we are going to do next week untill the big fella come's down the chimney, well we don't have a chimney just a special key and he'll need it this year as our back door is causing a problem for us at the mo it's LOCKED and staying LOCKED ( need to get a locksmith out to fix it) just what ya need NOT!!!!..

Lauren is staring as a Forest Fairy in the school Christmas Show and she needed a costume so good ol mummy has made one I took it into school yesterday for the dress rehearsal. On picking Lauren up from school she told me it had a hole in the back, so mummy has been playing with sewing machine again repairing and tweeking......

Now don't laugh!!!! I know I am no dressmaker.....

Well I feel the need to do some scrapbooking, but now a school run is a must so watch this space...

Well it's 4 day's in now how did that happen....

I have very little planned for this Christmas but did sit and write some card's out last night, the Christmas shopping is going slow. I don't know why I can't get motivated this year..

I am working on a Cj at the mo (sorry Debbie) it's not playing ball as I have very little in the line's of pic's of me. (So hate the camera pointing my way, but must change this though as I have hardly any of my mum because she was the same and as she is now longer with us, it's just memories I have, and being a scrapper I like having pic's to go with the memories now)...

I also have a couple of mini page's I'm working on for project next year with Indigo Mill, and talking of the Mill the Christmas kit is out and there are two FAB kit's to choose from so go check them out Here they are both pretty yummy... Some of the DT Girl's have been having a play and you can check their work out over at the Pond pretty soon..

Will try and start a Christmas mini at crop tomorrow, well that's the plan anyway...

Well I am pleased to say that my little girlie has gone back to school today, she is feeling much better now and for some reason was happy about going back today....

The school photo's are being retaken today which is another good thing that she went back today, finger's X they are as good as the last ones but without the tango-ness...

Well off to finish some house stuff (swear, curse, spit) so I can play with my stash later would much rather be playing with it now and say pant's to the house stuff but it need's to be done as no-one else will do it...

I am getting a day off, I so laugh about my day off when crop day come's round...

My little lady is feeling much better in herself so Daddy is in charge today his turn to be Florence, and incharge of the DVD's well I say DVD's there has only been one to watch since we came home and that is 'Hannah Montana the movie' (yesterday it was on 4 times), I will be expert... So glad she is feeling better now finger's x we get to reduce the multi dosing somemore on Monday when we go back to the Dr's. YEAH my girlie is getting better......

Yeah it's crop day..... and I think weeee bit of me time needed....

Alison has lot's of thing's planed for crop today, make and take's and Steph from Indigo Mill is bring the Web Shop, so looking forward to that as I have seen some paper's that are just so yummy... Plus demo's, let's hope I actually do some scrapping and not just spending and chatting lol oh and eating CAKE!!!!.

I was given Lauren and Mason's school photo's this morning. I'm not over happy with the quality of them, my babe's look ORANGE (like the Tango ad) and the white background let's just say is more of a grey smugy colour but only on some of the smaller print's..
School has complained as most of the parent's were also not happy, and it look's like a re-sit might be on the cards but they are still looking into what will be happening and if they are going to find someone else to do another sitting. Hopefully something will be sorted soon you know how these pic's make lovley gift's at Christmas...

It's Been a While

It's good to be back, so where do I start as it's been a while.

Well I have been lost from the land of Blogging and Surfing due to having problems with our internet conection, it's just not been happening. With our providers messing us about to get it sorted.
Hubby nearly reached boiling point on one of the many conversation's he had with them, everthing just seemed to take forever, and having to explain everything to each person he spoke to just went on and on. But eventually we are back and connected.

Not having the internet has been a real pain because this month it's my time to be creative with this month's kit from Indigo Mill, I had fun but couldn't get my work out there for you's all to see... Steph has took pic's for me, when we got together at a local crop, so hopefully I can get them out there soon.

Friday the 13th was not a good one for me, (it don't normally bother me though, I just don't think about it really) but I had to take my little girlie into hospital with an asthma attack, we had to stay in all weekend only got home last night, we are both completely shattered so it's a few easy day's for us me think's.
She so scared me Friday to see her so poorly but it's good to be home.

Hopefully be back with some creative thing's soon and pic's but must catch up on this sleep thing that I have had lack of and look after my little girlie.
